Horton the Elephant (Jim Carrey) one day hears a cry of help coming from a small speck of dust. It transpires that a whole city called Whoville lives on the dust speck and the Mayor (Steve Carell) asks Horton to help save the speck and thus the town itself. Horton decides to help because "a person's a person, no matter how small." The Kangaroo (Carol Burnett) wants Horton to get rid of the speck and thinks he's crazy but Horton persists and tries to get the speck, and Whoville out of danger. Despite ridicule from his neighbors, the film charts Horton trying to save the day. |
