Bob Rueland (David Duchovny) is a successful building contractor and happily married to Elizabeth Rueland (Joely Richardson), a veterinarian. His life is suddenly changed overnight when his wife dies in a car accident. Devastated, he retreats and mourns the death of his lovely wife. On the other hand, a family is rejoicing as they are finally able to find a heart donor for their daughter Grace Briggs (Minnie Driver)... the heart of Bob's wife Elizabeth. As fate would have it, their paths would cross one day. They instantly feel a connection with each other and it becomes the start of a story that tells us love may actually beat a second time around. |
