Almond butter cookies
1/2 cup
almond butter
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup Crisco (I used butter
flavor)
1/2 brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 egg
1
tsp almond extract
3/4 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/4 cups all
purpose flour
3/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4
tsp salt
Mix sugars, almond butter, butter and Crisco until
smooth. Add egg and stir in. Stir in flavorings. Stir in remaining
ingredients. (Add flour last!) Cover and refrigerate at least 3
hours. (Over night is better.)
Heat oven to 375 degrees.
Shape dough into 1 1/4 inch balls. Place about 3 inches apart on
ungreased baking sheet. Flatten in crisscross pattern with fork
dipped in flour. Bake until light brown, 9 to 10 minutes. Cool
for 2 minutes; remove from cookie sheet.
