Babylon 5's problems multiply when it breaks ties with Earth, and The Shadows stop working behind the scenes and begin open warfare. Ambassador Molari begins his private, hidden war against the Centauri Emporer Cartagia, who has allowed The Shadows to form a staging ground on Centauri Prime. Old friends are discovered to be new enemies, and old enemies work together to defeat common enemies that may prove a bigger danger to the entire galaxy than anyone could have ever imagined.
