British officer Richard Sharpe (Sean Bean) and his trusty companion and Irish non-commissioned officer named Sgt. Major Harper (Daragh O’Malley) work together well enough to take on an assignment to find double-agents sent by the French during the Napoleonic War to hamper the British military efforts. Sharpe’s ability with the sword may be his saving grace, but his randy relations with women like Lass (Emily Mortimer) and Ramona (Diana Perez) may be his undoing. A French spy named Leroux (Patrick Fierry) wants to assassinate a British spy, someone called El Mirador. Causing more turmoil in this stew of intrigue is the untrustworthy Sir Henry Simmerson (Michael Cochrane) who has his own agenda. |
