If you've ever wondered what it is like to chase a tornado then 'Twister' is for you. Dr. Jo Harding (Helen Hunt) is a storm chaser and her soon to be ex-husband Bill Harding (Bill Paxton) used to be one. Bill Harding has moved on and taken a job as a weather reporter when he comes looking for Jo to get her to sign divorce papers so he can marry his new girlfriend Dr. Melissa Reeves. Bill arrives to discover Jo has built his invention called DOROTHY, which is designed to release sensors in to the heart of a tornado in order to have a better understanding of its behavior. Bill also discovers that another scientist, Jonas Miller (Cary Elwes), has created a copy of his device and calls it D. O.T. 3, not wanting Miller to get credit for his device he joins forces with Jo and her team to get DOROTHY in to the heart of the tornado. They all find themselves facing down one of nature's most terrible monsters as they chase down the 'Twister'. |
