A special-ed teacher, an FBI agent, and a UFO? That's right, you've guessed it -- The Greatest American Hero. This show was first aired in 1981, and was both a comedy and a drama. A special "power suit" that only works on him is given to the teacher by the aliens, and he is paired up with the gumshoe FBI agent who keeps them both busy with his scenarios. The suit of "unearthly powers" gives the power of strength, flight, invisibilty, flames, telekenesis, vision of events without being there, protection from bullets and fire (if he remembers to cover his head!), and some others that he must figure out as well because; HE LOST THE INSTRUCTIONS THAT CAME WITH THE SUIT! Intro Theme:
Look at what's happened to me
I can't believe it myself
Suddenly I'm up on top of the world
It should have been somebody else Believe it or not I'm walking on air
I never thought I could feel so free
Flying away on a wing and a prayer
Who could it be?
Believe it or not it's just me

It's base-ball time, and The California Stars pitchers are all getting beaten-up by thugs, so it's up to Ralph and Bill to figure out why. Bill comes up with a fabulous idea--- Ralph can wear the ""suit"" under his uniform and pitch himself. When the thugs attack him, LOOK OUT!!!
Now it's off to the field to test Ralph's control. Can he get it over the plate? He says that he used to pitch in high school, and as a matter of fact they called his fast ball ""the Hinkley high smoker!"" Pam says they called him ""easy hit Hinkley"", but with Bill in the catcher's mitt--- Ralph breaks Bill's hand with a 200 mph fastball.

A tryout for the pitching job is scheduled, and the coach of the stars puts in their best hitter, Kyfano. They never expect our boy to be any good, but, three pitches later.-- Kyfano is out and Ralph is in! They tried to clock it, but it wouldn't register.
Up to bat at negotiating the contract is Bill (should have been Pam!!), and they rip him off with a phony life insur
