- The Lord Of The Rings: The Fellowship Of The Ring (2001) - The Lord Of The Rings: The Two Towers (2002) - The Lord Of The Rings: The Return Of The King (2003)The “One” ring, created by the evil Lord Sauron (Sala Baker) was created to enslave the inhabitants of Middle Earth. In the final battle, humans and elves joined forces to defeat the forces of Sauron, but the ring remained. Isildur (Harry Sinclair), the son of the king, kept the ring as a memento, but such rings should have been destroyed. The ring betrayed Isildur and was found by Gollum (Andy Serkis). The ring, attempting to return to his master, abandoned Gollum but did not intend for Bilbo Baggins (Ian Holm) to pick it up and then pass it on to his nephew, Frodo Baggins (Elijah Wood). The ring is desperate to get back to his master, Sauron, now a shadow of evil growing more powerful. Frodo must take on the burden to destroy the ring by going into the very depths of Mordor to do so. Accompanied by eight companions on a journey where friends are lost and separated, Frodo must find the strength to carry the heavy burden, even if it kills him, but in the end the world of Middle Earth will be saved and all will be able to live again peacefully.
