This movie follows the story of Butch Cassidy (Paul Newman) and the Sundance Kid (Robert Redford) through their exploits as bank robbers in the old west. The two are at the head of famous gang of bank robbers called 'Hole in the Wall Gang', and they are planning another big robbery. Their posse has been taken over by another man who has different plans to rob a train instead, but when Butch defeats the new leader he takes his idea. When they go for the train heist it at first works out, but when they try again for more money this time they are followed by a posse that will not stop until they catch them. They decide to leave the country and head to Bolivia where they slowly become wanted criminals for bank robbery there as well. After trying to go straight they give it up when they realize that they can't escape the violence no matter what they do. The movie ends in a classic scene of facing death bravado! |
