The toy story gang returns in their third sequel in the toy story series. At this point the adult character Andy – the toy’s childhood playmate – is an adult and leaving for college. Andy makes the decision he is too old to be playing with toys, and as he moves out dumps his toys by the curb, deciding to only take his cowboy “Woody” (Tom Hanks) with him. The toys are then separated and end up at a seemingly innocent daycare where they meet their new boss “Lotso” (John Cusack). The remaining toys led by Buzz Lightyear (Tim Allen) realize the daycare is anything but innocent as they witness destructive abuse of other toys by the young unknowing toddlers. Chaos ensues with the struggle to reunite themselves and say goodbye to their childhood playmate as they are left to make their way in the world. |
