Charlie Chan (Warner Oland) is about to leave London for Honolulu, when he finds himself in yet another mystery to solve, a murder case when a young and beautiful woman named Pamela Gray (Drue Leyton) who sought his help. The young socialite's brother named Paul is awaiting execution who is set to be hung in 65 hours for the murder of a weapon inventor. She is convinced that her brother is innocent. Upon hearing Neil Howard (Ray Milland) telling Charlie that he believes Paul is guilty, Pamela feels so distraught and outrage that she breaks their engagement. However, Charlie believes otherwise, he then heads to the wealthy estate of Geoffrey Richmond (Alan Mowbray). Charlie must find out who the real killer is before it is too late to save an innocent life as the clock ticks away. |
